Rose Watering Ritual

TEHRAN (Asremrooz): Every year during the second half of May, Qamsar and Niasar are host to those who travel there in order to participation in Watering Rose festival for two or three weeks. These two cities are full of Rose garden and clear streams.
Mohammadi flowers (rose) grown around Kashan is a type of Rosaceus. Rose has been grown for 7 thousand in Iran and rose watering ritual that has been changed a little is1000 years old. Qamsar’s Rose water has the highest quality in the world and also, it is honorable for religious people. In addition, it is used as fragrance in the religious events. Meanwhile, it is used as a perfume among Muslims. Every year on Zelhajjeh 9th , God’s house is washed by pure rose water.
Abu Abdullah Qasany ,in the seventh century in a book introduced a variety of fragrance, has stated interesting stories about Rose watering by integrated devices including Qare, Anbiq and Qable.
In addition to growing rose, Qamsar has the most noble and elegant way of rosewater production in the world. One of the primary way in this section from the perspective of archaeological and contemporary is including 200 kind of technique used in the past.
Although, the current method of rose watering is a simple industry done in all cities in this way, preparation of pure rosewater needs necessary points.
Qamsar is located near the main high way network linking Kashan- Persian Gulf can be one of the pillars of tourism.
Picking flowers and watering rose ritual begins every year on May and it is continued to April.
