The Iranian Football Federation has asked cooperation from all entities to help make Iran the host of 2019 AFC Asian Cup matches.

TEHRAN (Asremrooz):President of Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Kaffashian said "We have only a few days left. If we want to host this great event all must unite and do something.”
Kaffashian who has lately tried hard to make Iran the host of the 2019 games said "One of the factors in improving sports is hosting. Countries who are able to host do all they can to do it, even the President tries to make a contribution. But here when we talk to officials they say it’s Ok, but when we are going to have their signatures a lot of problems arise. Four years ago also when we tried to host the Futsal games there was only us and Thailand. But all we looked we could not gather the majority signatures. Right now also it has been two and a half months that we have been trying for the 2019 games but we have been unsuccessful.”
"Although getting signatures of all officials is hard, we are not disappointed yet and there is 4-5 more days still. The government-elect has also recommended that we acquire more time. Yesterday I spoke to the AFC Secretary General and we sent a letter asking to give us more time if possible,” he continued.
