TEHRAN (Asremrooz) : tonight is a great man’s birthday who his hands smell dignity and his forehead smells servitude. Spring is surprised, wind worships and sun thanks.
Ali ibn al-Hussein was born on 6 January 659 – 20 October 712 known by the honorific Zayn al-Abidin ("Beauty/Best of the Worshippers") was a great-grandson of Muhammad, as well as the fourth Shiah Imam. His mother was Shahrbanu and his father was Husayn ib Ali. . As statedHis mother was Shahr Bano the daughter of Yazdjurd II, the last of the Persian Kings before Islam. She was taken prisoner when Muslim armies conquered Persia. When she was brought in Medina Imam Ali spoke to her and she embraced Islam and was married to his second son Imam Hussein.
In 60 AH, when his father Imam Hussein had to leave Medina for Meccaa and then for Karbala, he was with him all the time. In Karbala all male children of Ali and Hussein were killed except Ali Ibn el Hussein who with providence became so ill that he was unable to participate in the Jihad with his father and survived the massacre. His life and with that the line of descendants of Hussein survived because the Imamat had to go on. He became the 4th Imam on the 10th of Muharram 61 Hijri.

Imam Sajjad ‘s Knowledge
1. Guard your tongue and do not speak about people whatever comes out of your mouth, otherwise you will turn your friends into your enemies.
2. Avoid saying things, which the minds of people are not prepared to accept.
3. What harm will come to you if you take all Muslims to be your family and your relations? Consider your elders to be your parents, those younger than you as your children and those of your age as your brothers. If you do so who is going to harm or abuse you?
4. If people show respect to you, think that this is because the people are very good not that you are good. If the people say bad things about you, think that something is really wrong with you. If you live in this way, life will become pleasant for you, you will make many friends and your enemies will be few.
5. A Mujahid who is martyred for Allah's cause does not deserve as much reward as a person who chooses not to sin despite having the power to do so. Such a person may even become one of the chaste angels. (Saheefa-e-Sajadia)
6. When about something one does not know, one should not be ashamed of having to learn about it.
7. Patience is to faith what the head is to the body; one who does not have patience also lacks faith.
8. Refrain from lying in all things, big or small, in seriousness or in jest. For when one starts lying in petty matters, soon he will have the audacity to lie in important matters (also).
9. A man need not fear Allah except on account of his own sins, and should place his hopes only with his Lord.
