Iran installs new envoy for European-based UN headquarters
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani issued a decree appointing Foreign Ministry Director General for Political and International Affairs Reza Najafi as Iranian UN ambassador to Vienna.

TEHRAN (Asremrooz): Najafi has already served as Head of Nuclear Disarmament and International Security Department of Iranian Foreign Ministry, Iran's Representative to the UN Disarmament Committee and Permanent Deputy of Iran's envoy to the Hague-based Organization for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
He is a veteran politician on disarmament and has been a member of Iran's delegation in the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) meetings.
