Iran summons Yemeni charge d'affaires for second time
Iran once again summoned Yemeni charge d'affaires to pursue the life of an Iranian diplomat kidnapped in Yemen and secure his release.

TEHRAN (Asremrooz):During a meeting between an Iranian Foreign Ministry official for Persian Gulf states and the Yemeni charge d'affaires, the Iranian official raised concerns over abduction of the Iranian diplomat in Sana'a by armed groups and showed objections over lack of clear information from Yemeni government over the issue.

Iran underlined Yemen's responsibility in protecting the life and security of Iranian diplomats in the Arab country, and said no neglect from Yemen is acceptable in this regard.

The Yemeni official, on his part, stressed that he would inform his respective country of Iran's objection.

Unknown assailants have already abducted a staff member of the Iranian Embassy in the Yemeni capital, Sana'a.

Nour-Ahmad Nikbakht, an employee of the Iranian Embassy in Yemen was abducted by unknown gunmen in Sana’a’s Safr Street, the Ma’areb news website reported in breaking news.

Abedi noted that Nikbakht worked in the administrative section of the Iranian embassy in Sana'a.
