TEHRAN (Asremrooz):Pointing to the EU designating Hezbollah as terrorist, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Aliakbar Salehi said "The oriented act which was carried out with pressures by some influential EU members defies all political and legal standards, and is astonishing and unacceptable.”

"The fact that a resistance group is designated terrorist which fights intrusion and occupation and holds a legal and publically supported presence in Lebanon is indicative of the frail bases of such act,” Salehi asserted.

Salehi said that through such acts, EU foreign ministers think to be exerting influence on regional developments, while in fact what they do is put up a show of double standards.

Salehi pointed out "Not only does the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly denounce the EU’s decision, but it believes that such acts do not make a change in their public, rightful campaign. No doubt the EU’s act was in line with the illegitimate demands of the Zionist regime and carried out under pressure from the regime’s advocates in Europe.”
