Omani King Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed plans to step in Iran in coming days to discuss bilateral ties as well as main regional and international developments with senior Iranian officials.

TEHRAN (Asremrooz): "Sultan Qaboos's presence in Iran is in line with boosting bilateral ties and continuous political and regional consultations between the two countries," said Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian.
"Relations between Iran and Persian Gulf neighboring states are based on friendship, brotherly and mutual confidence," he told ISNA.
Amirabdollahian said Iran and regional states are after boosting relations in all fields, including policy, environment and security.
Iran attaches importance to strengthening ties with the Middle-East's countries in a bid to maintain security in the region.
Earlier this year, former Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi underlined the importance of close cooperation among the Persian Gulf countries in order to maintain regional security and stability.
