TEHRAN (Asremrooz):"The Middle East is meaningless without Iran and Turkey. There is no such a thing as international policy without the two countries' presence. The two countries have deep roots in the region," Turkish ambassador Umit Yardim told ISNA.

He added the two countries are moving towards the same path despite minor differences.

"We always need to continue talks and exchanges of views to develop shared views and resolve differences, because direct dialogues between the two countries is beneficial and constructive not only for the two countries, but also for the entire region," he added.

Yardim also said Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi's recent trip to Turkey shows friendly ties between the countries, as expressing hope that talks between the two countries would continue after Iranian President-elect Hassan Rouhani comes to power.
