His epithets are as follows: An-Nasih (loyal); he was called so because he was the sincerest advisor to the nation.Al-Mutawakkil (reliant on Allah). At-Taqiy (pious, devout); he was called so because he feared Allah and turned to Him. Al-Murtadha (being pleased with Allah); it was his most famous epithet. Al-Faqeeh (jurisprudent); he was the most informed person of his age in jurisprudence, and was the authority that jurisprudents and scholars turned to. Al-Aalim (knowledgeable); he was the most knowledgeable one among the people of his time, not only in the Islamic laws, but all branches of knowledge and sciences. Al-Ameen means trustee on religion and life. At-Tayyib means generous, kind-hearted, good-natured. His LineamentsHe was brown17 like his father Imam al-Jawad and grandfather Imam ar-Ridha (peace be upon them). Narrators described that he was black-eyed, with thick hands, wide chest, hooked nose, pretty face, and good body odor. He was stout in body like his grandfather Imam Abu Ja’far al-Baqir (a.s.), neither short nor tall, with wide shoulders, big organs…straight stature. The intelligence, intellectual abilities, and talents which Imam al-Hadi ( peace be upon him) had in his childhood astonished the minds and amazed the intellect. He had a strong memory, excessive intelligence, and sharp wit. Historians have mentioned many examples of his intelligence. They mentioned that al-Mu’tasim, the Abbasid caliph, after having assassinated Imam Muhammad al-Jawad ( peace be upon him), charged Umar bin al-Faraj to go to Yathrib (Medina) in order to choose a teacher for Imam al-Hadi (a.s.) who was six years and some months old then. He asked him to choose a teacher that must be one of the enemies of the Ahlul Bayt (a.s.) so that he (the teacher) would feed him hatred towards the Ahlul Bayt (a.s.).When Umar arrived in Yathrib, he met the wali there and informed him of his task. The wali and some others directed him to al-Junaydi who had intense ill will towards the Alawids. Umar sent for al-Junaydi who accepted the task. A monthly salary was assigned to al-Junaydi and he was charged to prevent the Shi’a from visiting or contacting Imam al-Hadi (a.s.). Al-Junaydi began teaching Imam al-Hadi (a.s.) but he was astonished at his sharp wit and acute intelligence. One day, Muhammad bin Ja’far met al-Junaydi and asked him,‘What about this boy (Imam al-Hadi) whom you teach?’Al-Junaydi said to him angrily, ‘Do you say “this boy” and not “this sheikh”? I ask you by Allah; do you know anyone in Medina more aware in knowledge and literature than me?’Muhammad bin Ja’far said, ‘No!’Al-Junaydi said, ‘I mention some matters of literature and think that I have elaborated upon them, but he (Imam al-Hadi) opens sections of literature where I myself learn from him. People think that I teach him, but, by Allah, I learn from him…’After some time Muhammad bin Ja’far met al-Junaydi again and asked him, ‘What about the boy?’Al-Junaydi said to him, ‘Let you not say so! By Allah, he is the best of the inhabitants of the earth and the best of the creatures of Allah. Many a time, when he wants to enter his room, I say to him, ‘You do not enter the room until you recite a surah.’ He says, ‘Which surah you want me to recite?’ I ask him to recite long surahs and he recites them in a way that I have heard no recitation better than his. He recites the surahs with a voice nicer than the pipes of Prophet David (a.s.). He has memorized the Qur'an from its beginning until its end and he knows its revelation and interpretation…’ Al-Junaydi added, ‘This young boy grew up in Medina between black walls. How did he obtain this immense knowledge? Glory be to Allah!’Al-Junaydi gave up his enmity towards the Ahlul Bayt and believed in them and in their Imamate.Imam Hadi’s sayings1. Because of his resemblance to his great-grandfather he was named Muhammad, because of it that he analyzed the knowledge and made manifest its secrets he became known with the title of al-Baqir. Imam Muhammad al-Baqir was awarded the title Baqir al-'Ulum "Revealer of Knowledge" because of his ample religious and judicial knowledge and his enthusiasm to teach othersHis titles are Shaker, Hadi and Saber that they indicate his characteristic. He had only one kunya. It was Abu Ja‘far His father was the previous Imām, ‘Alī ibn Ḥusayn, His father was the Lord of the prostrators (in worship) and ornament of the worshipers and his mother was Fatimah bint al-Hasan. As for his mother, she was a pure chaste woman. She was Fatima, the daughter of Imam al-Hasan, the Lord of the youth of Heaven. Imam Mohammed al-Baqir (peace be upon him) was born in Medina, on the third day of the month of Safar, in the year 56 A. H. It was said (that he was) on Friday, during the early days of the month of Rajab. He was born three years before his grandfather, Imam Husain, peace be on him, was killed. The Imam, peace be on him, resided in Medina throughout his life. He did not leave it for another city. In it, he was the first teacher and great pioneer for scientific cultural movements. He used the Prophetic Mosque as school for him. There he gave his lectures to his students. In his life of respectable and scholarly retirement at Madina, the Imam was frequently called upon to explain particular teachings in regard to Imamat. A synopsis of his teaching in the Ma’athirul-Baqir is given in Cannon Sell’s Ithna Ashariya, an interesting part of which may well be quoted, as it shows the emphasis at this early period on the intellectual and spiritual character of the Imamat. While in Medinah Imam Muhammed al-Baqir (peace be upon him) continued with the progress of the schools of theology opened up on his advice and with the support of the companions of Ahlulbayt. It is noted by many historians that until the death of The 5th Imam (peace be upon him) there were 25000 students in these schools learning Fiqh, Theology and Islamic science. It was at this time that 400 books of Hadith were compiled by the students of these schools under the guidance of Imam Muhammad al-Baqir(peace be upon him). These are some of his attitudes that are full of mercy, clemency, and self- denial. Indeed the morals of the members of the House (ahl al-Bayt), peace be on him, are a school that is based on honor, nobility, and on everything through which man becomes high. The historians have unanimously agreed that the Imam, peace be on him, treated kindly those who mistreated him. He forgave them and bestowed liberally upon them to uproot from them aggression against others. The following are some of his attitudes towards them: he slaughtered every day a ewe. He cooked the ewe and divided it among the poor and the deprived. MartyrdomThe Ummayad Caliph Hisham ibn Abdul Malik was not happy with the progress our 5th Imam was making in reaching out to the people of not only Madinah but throughout the Muslim Lands. This spiritual influence would change into political influence and this would jeopardize the Caliphs own position as head of the state. The more the Ummayad Government learnt about Imam’s prestige and popularity, the more intolerable his existence became. At last they resorted to the same soundless weapon, poison which used to be applied by the cunning monarchs quite often to eliminate their opponents or suspects. A saddle was presented to the Imam in which poison was applied most skillfully. When he mounted on it the poison affected his whole body. After few days in pain the Imam expired on 7th of Zilhijja 114 Hijri. Some saying of Imam Muhammad- Al- BAqer1. Imam said, "Our followers are of three kinds, one who follows us but depends on others, one who is like a glass involved in his own reflections, but the best are those who are like gold, the more they suffer the more they shine.2. I admonish you regarding five things; if you are wronged, do not commit wrong doing to others, if you are betrayed, do not betray anyone, if you are called a liar, do not be furious, if you are praised, do not be jubilant, if you are criticized do not fret and think of what is said in criticism, if you find in yourself what is criticized about you, then you are falling down in the eyes of God; when you are furious about the truth, it is much greater calamity then your falling down in the eyes of the people. And if you are opposite of what is said (in criticism) about you, then it is a merit you acquired without having to tire yourself in obtaining it.”3. To lie is from the desolation and depravity of faith.4. The faithful does not become coward, greedy and miser.5. God is the friend of modest, tolerant and forbearing person.6. The scholar whose existence is fruitful and useful his worth is more than seventy thousand silly, witless ascetics (worshipers).7. God does not like the scurrilous.8. Avoid languidness (extenuation) because it is the key to every indecency and ruins and spoils the religion and the world (worldly affairs) of man.9. Whosoever commits excesses over the servants of God, will not be from our Shias.10. Avoid envying and being jealous of each other keep away from selfishness (egotism), do not adopt cruelty, be vigilant and watchful about your prayers, be the friend of oppressed ones.11. Whoever tries to perform the errands and works of the Muslims and eases their difficulties is like the Muslim martyr who might have martyred in the battle of Bader and Uhud12. Imam Muhammad Baqir (AS) says that Imam Ali once said: There were two things in this world, which softened the Wrath of Allah and prevented its descent upon man: One has been taken away from you; hold the other steadfastly. The one which has been taken away from men is the Holy Prophet and the one which is still left with them and which they must hold steadfastly is repentance and atonement for sins because Allah at one place in the Holy Book addressed the Holy Prophet and said Allah would not punish them while you were among them nor while they were asking for forgiveness. 13. Indeed if you are good in teaching the people and do not show pride towards them, then Allah will increase you from His favor. However if you prevent them from learning your knowledge, then it is incumbent upon Allah, the Great and Almighty, to deprive you of knowledge and its splendor and to drop your position from the hearts of people."14. Whoever recites the Holy Qur'an while standing in prayer, Allah Almighty will bestow a hundred blessings for every letter; whoever recites it while sitting in prayer, Allah will reward with fifty blessings for every letter; whoever recites the Qur'an outside of prayer, Allah will grant ten blessings for each letter.15. Remember your previous sins with severe repentance and more seeking forgiveness. 16. One who disobeys Allah has no knowledge of him. 17. The scholar who derives benefit from his knowledge is better than 70,000 devotees. ]]> History Sat, 12 Oct 2013 14:57:03 GMT http://asremrooz.ir/vdcezf8p.jh8fwik1bj.html Imam Javad’s Martyrdom http://asremrooz.ir/vdcaawni.49n0a1gtk4.html TEHRAN (Asremrooz): Although Imam Javad(peace be upon him) was so young, he could spread his though and belief. So they pursued her and said “you are Khalife’s niece but Mohammad Ebn Ali Aljavad (peace be upon him) respected Hadi’s mother more than you”.Being jealous, omefazl was tempted by these two individuals. Of course, the prediction is true and now a day Iran is one of the most powerful countries in the Middle East. But why was Iraq chosen? And how did Iraq attack Iran? The answers of these questions need a long time discussion. One of the main n reasons is Iraq history.Iraq officially known as the Republic of Iraq is country in the Middle East and southwest Asia. Its population consists of Shias 60-65%, Sunnis 32-37% and Christians and followers of other religions 3%. Consisting of the most percent of Iraq population by Shias was one of the main reasons for choosing Iraq as an attacker to Iran. The America was aware that if Iraq influence of Iran revolution and unite, they turn to a powerful Shia country. Of course, the U. S. later attacked Iraq and caused improvement of relation between Iraq and Iran. Iran and Iraq have shared common tradition, culture and custom including Imams, Jihad, Martyrdom and the most important one Imam Hussein (peace be upon him)’s uprising because both nation consider it as a symbol of freedom. The holy shrines of six Imams are located in Iraq and Samera and Kazemain are considered as the most holy shrines for pilgrims. The history of Mesopotamia’s history is also one of the main reasons of Iraq’s attack to Iran. It Widely considered to be the cradle of civilization in the West, Bronze Age Mesopotamia included Sumer and the Akkadian, Babylonian, and Assyrian empires, all native to the territory of modern-day Iraq. In the Iron Age, it was controlled by the Neo-Assyrian and Neo-Babylonian empires. The indigenous Sumerians and Akkadians (including Assyrians and Babylonians) dominated Mesopotamia from the beginning of written history (c. 3100 BC) to the fall of Babylon in 539 BC, when it was conquered by the Achaemenid Empire. It fell to Alexander the Great in 332 BC, and after his death, it became part of the Greek Seleucid Empire.Around 150 BC, Mesopotamia was under the control of the Parthians. Mesopotamia became a battleground between the Romans and Parthians, with parts of Mesopotamia coming under ephemeral Roman control. In AD 226, it fell to the Sassanid Persians and remained under Persian rule until the 7th-century Arab Islamic conquest of the Sassanid Empire. A number of primarily neo Assyrian and Christian native Mesopotamian states existed between the 1st century BC and 3rd century AD, including Adiabene, Osroene, and Hatra.Mesopotamia was independent in 1932 and called Republic of Iraq. It means that Iraq as 80 years old country attacked Iran where is 2500 years old. Of course Saddam had struggled by Pahlavi’s regime too.It is interesting to know that in 539 during the war between King Cyrus and Babylon king, Iraq was conquered by Iran. About 500 years BC, government of Iraq different citied was destroyed by Cyrus and Iraq was part of Iran. Obviously, it Great Britain did not conquered Iraq, Iran and Iraq would unite because of common culture and religion and turn to a powerful country. It was what the western countries were scared.Saddam has always loved to be superpower in the region and was called Arab king. Exports of 3.5 million barrels of oil per day before the war in Iraq had turned it as the second largest producer in OPEC. Oil exploration was limited in Iraq but it was seemed that Iraq after Saudi Arabia is considered as the second largest oil reserves in the region. Finally Iraq prepared its self for war because it can increase oil product by conquering Iran. ]]> History Wed, 25 Sep 2013 05:31:13 GMT http://asremrooz.ir/vdcawwni.49ni01gtk4.html The Most Loved Poet http://asremrooz.ir/vdcizpaq.t1awr2lict.html TEHRAN (Asremrooz): Shahriar is considered the greatest poet in our age. However among the infallible Imams, in Iran, Imam Reza (peace be upon him) has more special position so much more greatness of him has been observed. On the other hand, Hazrat Soleyman –Ebn- Hams about the countless rewards for his pilgrims said “I heard that Musa-ebn –Jafar (peace be upon him) said “ everyone who visit the grave of my son , Ali, God will grant him a reward equivalent to seventy Haj”.Once Hazrat Abd-Al Azim Hasani (peace be upon him) asked Imam Javad (peace be upon him) “ I do not know I visit your grandfather in Karbala or your father in Mashhad. Imam Javad said “ please wait” then he went inside and came out while he was crying ans said “ those who visit Imam Hussein are a lot but my father does not have more pilgrims”.In other narrative, Imam Javad (peace be upon him) said “visiting my father is the best because all pilgrims visit imam Hussein (peace be upon him) but those who are special visit my Father”.Imam’s lifetimeOn the eleventh of Dhu al-Qi'dah, 148 AH (December 29, 765 AD), a son was born in the house of Imam Musa al-Kadhim (the seventh Imam of Islam) in Medina, who took over the position of the Imamate, after his father. He was named Ali and titled al-Ridha. Ali al-Ridha's father was martyred in 799, when Ali al-Ridha was 35, and he was given the responsibility of the Imamate.Imam Reza (peace be upon him) was in Medina before his trip to Marw and was teaching the Islamic rules as well as his grandfathers. The people who lived in Medina loved Imam and they considered him as a kind father. Although Imam had spent most of his life in Medina he had many followers.Imam Reza in a conversation with Ma’amun said “ this position does not have any advantage for me because when I was in Medina my order was forced in East and west and there was not any more beloved than me when I was passing in the allays. They always asked their needs and I did their requests.ImamatImamat of Imam Reza (peace be upon him) was announced by his father and grandfather. Especially Imam Kazem repeatedly introduced his son to people. One of the follower of Imam Musa Kazem said “ we were 60 individuals that Imam entered with his son and said “ do you know me?” I said “you are my leader”. He said “say may name and my title” I said “you are Musa-ebn Jafar –ebn Mohammad” he said “who is he with me?” .I said “ he is Ali –ebm Musa” Imam said “ I announced that he is your leader after me”.In a famous Hadith from Jaber that the holy prophet said “ Imam Reza (peace be upon him ) will be your 8th leader”. Imam Sadeq (peace be upon him) repeatedly told Imam Musa “ Alem of Mohamad Family is your son”.Political positionImam Reza was the leader of Muslims about twenty year classified in three parts:1. I noticed that he could not move. I helped him and asked his address to get him his house. He said “my house is on Kheirat Khan School”. I got him and I fell in his love. I always went his home and helped him. He said “my name is Ebrahim and I am from Iraq and I can speak Farsi well. I come here to visit Imam Reza every year and I come back. When I was young while car was not invented I walked the holy Shrine. In the first trip there were three young boys who were my friends but they could not come with me and they were so upset because of that. When we wanted to say goodbye they were crying a lot and said “you are young and this is your first rip so Imam Reza (peace be upon him)with give your request so say our hello and remember us by pray”. I began my trip to Mashhad when I arrived I was tired and upset. I went to the holy shrine then I fell and slept. I said “it is not suitable for you let others do it”. He answered “they are coming to visit me , I have to help them myself”. I opened one of them and I saw it was written the way to escape from the fire of hell is me .Seyed Nabil Mir Seyed Mohammad Esfahani the grandchild of Mir Seyed Hasan socalled Modaress quoted that Mir Babaye Tabrizi said “ I was eager to say Azan and before my leg was injured I said Azan in one of the village in Tabriz. Once I noticed that some of our neighbors were going to visit Imam Reza ‘s (peace be upon him) shrine”.I was eager to visit him so I accompanied them. They put me in the carriage and went. There was a man from Babieh among us. When he saw me said “why did you bring him?” they said “we want to ask Imam Reza (peace be upon him) to heal him”.He laughed. When we arrived I had visited the holy shrine for three days there. On the last day in the evening I noticed a man wearing green clothes, he said “stand up and say Azan”. I said “I cannot”. He ordered me to say Azan and I noticed I can so I stand and shouted “God is the greatest” . When people heard me they said “it is not a time for Azan, why are you saying Azan?”Because I was eager to it I continued and did not pay attention to them. Suddenly some of them gathered around me and said “he is a man who was sick and he could not stand”. They attacked me to take my clothes. I opened my scarf and escaped safely.A merchant from Tehran went to Mashhad to visit Imam Reza (peace be upon him)Holy shrine. When he was on a trip, one of his friends dreamed that he is visiting there while Imam Reza (peace be upon him) is sitting on the grave. He has stood in front of Imam and threw something toward Imam and he was so upset. He repeated this act and finally the last one hit Imamd’s head and Imam fell. Her holy father was martyred in the Baghdad prison at the hands of the Abbasid caliph Harun al-Rashid after undergoing long term of imprisonment and tortures. After the martyrdom of her holy father she came under the care of Imam Reza (peace be upon him), her elder brother.Hazrat Masoumeh was about 10 years old when her father Imam Musa Kazim (peace be upon him) passed away. After her father’s death, Hazrat Masoumeh had a strong connection with her brother Imam Reza (peace be upon him),.Imam Musa al-Kadhim (peace be upon him), named his daughter Fatimah, for the sake of love and special attachment he had with his grandmother Fatimah Zahra (peace be upon him). Fatimah's purity, modesty, and piety were such that after sometime she was referred as "Ma'soomah" (the infallible). This was because like her honorable Father, she used to keep away from all evils and sins.Fatimah Ma'soomah was growing under the shelter of her father and dear mother and was day by day learning new things from both of them. If the father of Fatemah was the Imam of the Muslims and was matchless in his piety and chastity, then her mother was also pious and faithful who had accomplished her essential studies of Islam in the school of the wife of Imam Ja'far Sadiq (peace be upon him). In those days she was the most intelligent amongst all women and it was for reason that the mother of Imam Kadhim (Hamideh) asked him to propose and marry her.Hazrat Fatimah Ma'soomah took advantage of studying in the presence of her father, brother and pious mother. All her young life was full of Islamic education. Every Friday Muslims would come to Medina with their religious questions. After getting their questions answered by Imam Musa al-Kadhim (peace be upon him), they would return to their town. Incidentally, once Imam Kadhim(peace be upon him), was away and Imam Ridha (peace be upon him), was also not around. The Muslims without getting their questions answered were returning home very sad. Fatimah Ma'soomah noticed the sadness and took the papers from them and answered their questions. The Muslims became happy and leftImam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: soon a lady by the name Fatimah from my family will be buried in Qum. Heaven becomes obligatory on one who visits her.Imam Reza ( peace be upon him) loved his sister so much that he stated “ he who visits Hazrat Masumeh in Qom, he visits me”. ]]> History Tue, 10 Sep 2013 03:26:06 GMT http://asremrooz.ir/vdcivwaq.t1a552lict.html Imam Sadeqh http://asremrooz.ir/vdcgny93.ak9wx4j5ra.html TEHRAN (Asremrooz): having good ethics is one of the best principles of individual and social life as a requirement for human. In fact most of the problems in human life are due to the lack of individual and social ethic in the community. Imam Sadeqh (Peace be upon him) not only did not accept his shoes buy also he was upset and stated “ the most qualified person to endure the suffer is its owner”. However he went without shoes until arrived there. It is quoted whenever Imam Sadeqh (Peace be upon him) had guest, he set the table and invited them to eat more and sometimes after the guests were fed he brought food again and insisted on to eat much and said “the kindest person eat the most”. Then, in order to encourage them to eat he quoted some Hadith of The holy Prophet about eating food. He also stated “ I like to go to the market and buy some food and invite some Muslims in my house and feed them”.Some Sunnis and Shias have quoted his good behaviors indicated his good manner as the 6th Shia’s Imam.Sheykh Mofid wrote in his book “ his knowledge was published and quoted in all the cities. There are four thousand narrators who said his hadith”.Malek _ebn-Anas was one of his companies so he said “ I had served him for a period of time, he always smiled whenever he heard the prophet name his face changed to green and then yellow. Whenever I visited him he was praying, fasting or citing the holy Quran. He always had Vozu and narrated the holy prophet’s hadith.Abou- Hanife said “I have never met anybody who is wiser than him”.Hasan- Ebn Ziad said “I asked Abu Hanife who is the best in Feqh in your opinion? He said Jafar-Ibn Mohammad”.Hassan-ebn-Ziad has written “once Mansour Davaneqhi told me, people pay much attention to Jafar-Ebn –Mohammad and most of them visit him, prepare difficult questions and asked him to answer. I prepared forty questions, when I entered the meeting I saw Imam was sitting in the right of Mansour. I said “hello and sat”. Mansour ordered to ask them. I asked one by one and Imam answered.Imam Sadeqh( peace be upon him) always helped poor.Moffazal –enb- Qheys said “I visited Imam Sadeqh( peace be upon him) and complained about my situation and requested for pray. He said “bring my bag and said there is 400 Dinnar in this bag, use it”. I said “I swear God that I did not want money”. He said “I know I will not forget to pray but do not complain”.Hesham –Ebn- Salem said “whenever it was getting dark and the night was passed, he took a bag of bread and meat put them on his shoulder and want to the poor’s house and shared them although they did not know him. After his martyrdom people did not find him so they noticed he was Imam Sadeqh( peace be upon him).Mosma- Ebn- Abdolmalek said “I visited Imam Sadeqh( peace be upon him) in Mena while he was eating grapes , a poor came and requested, Imam ordered to give him a grapes. He said “I do not need grapes please give money:. Imam said “God will give you money “he went and returned. Another poor came and imam gave him three grapes he took and said “thanks God”. Then Imam Sadeqh( peace be upon him) gave him grapes again.Imam Sadeqh( peace be upon him) asked his servent who much money do you have”. He answered “ twenty Derham”. Ima said “ give the to this poor”. The poor said “ thanks God” Imam gave him his clithse . he put on and said “ thanks God”. ]]> History Tue, 03 Sep 2013 20:43:57 GMT http://asremrooz.ir/vdcgny93.ak9wx4j5ra.html What Is Recommended to Do on Ramadan 23th? http://asremrooz.ir/vdcfc0dv.w6dxca7riw.html TEHRAN (Asremrooz): it is mentioned in Hadiyat-Alzaer that Ramadan 23th is the best night.
