Iran condemned continuous killing of Palestinians, urging the UN Security Council to support the civilians in Occupied Palestinian lands.

TEHRAN (Asremrooz): A member of Iranian UN mission Mohammad Ali Motaqinejad speaking in a UN Security Council meeting 'Protection of Civilians in Armed Conflict', said "civilians are undergoing great loss in different conflicts and a great deal of these failures in support for civilians in clashes are due to violating the international human rights principles."

He further added adaptation of double standards regarding Israel's crimes have doubled tensions and violation of Palestinian civilians' rights.

Motaqinejad also highlighted Zionist regime's crimes in the Gaza Strip, and said the regime has made Gaza as the biggest prison in the world by seizing 1.5 million people.

He also said Iran would join the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights' call for lifting Gaza seizure imposed by Israel.

Israeli regime built up an apartheid wall to impose more restrictions on the real owners of the Palestinian land.

The Israeli regime imposed land, aerial, and naval blockade on the Gaza Strip in June 2007 after the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, took over the administration of the territory.

The blockade has had a disastrous impact on the humanitarian and economic situation in the impoverished enclave, having turned the territory into the world’s largest open-air prison.

Israeli army has so far martyred tens of Palestinians on a pretext of self-defense and hatches plots to pursue the oppressed people to leave their land
