Iran appoints first woman Foreign Ministry spokesperson

In a decree issued on Thursday, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif appointed Marzieh Afkham as first woman spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

TEHRAN (Asremrooz):Afkham, who takes the place of Abbas Araqchi, had previously served as head of the press office at the Foreign Ministry and director of the ministry department for public diplomacy.
